8 – 130 Knots, 2013. Point engraving on antique glass lenses. 38 mm diameter each, thickness varies. The piece consists of 25 optician’s lenses, numbered with a systematic increase in strength. The lenses capture details from the ocean surface and combine an increased magnification with intensifying wind speeds, progressing wavelets from a gentle breeze towards the ultimate white force of a hurricane.
