A Liquid Hitherto Unknown
July 2023 - 2025
Screen printing on glass.

A discarded plastic cup with moulded ornamentation found in the sand at the mouth of the Na’aman River in Acre, the site where the Phoenician merchants camped for the night in Pliny the Elder’s origin myth of glass. The image encompasses, perhaps, the beginnings as well as a sense of the end of glass making and blurs the boundaries between ancient and contemporary object in clashing hierarchies of treasure and trash.
