Fallen leaves collected in an old growth forest. Drawings were made with potash extracted from oak trees and ferns with inclusions of fossil.

Lycopodium Lucidulum is the last living relative of trees from the earliest forest. This drawing combines potash extracted from trees in Upstate New York with Devonian tree fossils of the Gilboa Fossil Forest, the earliest forest on Earth.
